Vanessa Rowe is an emerging artist born in Perth/Boorloo, Western Australia, who lives and works in Sydney, on Gadigal Country. Working across painting and drawing, her practice is grounded in the relationship between light, form and landscape. Drawing on seasonal and lunar cycles, coastal landscapes near her home and imagined elements, her work explores landscapes constructed through memory, feeling and light. Her recent practice has considered the moon, sky, air, space and water as catalysts for creating places that exist between observation and imagination.
