Vanessa Rowe is an Australian artist who lives and works in Sydney, on Gadigal Country. Working across painting and drawing, she is interested in how landscapes can be transformed by natural cycles, memory and imagination. Using sketches, photographs and memory, she creates works that draw on both real and imagined places. Her recent work has focused on the moon, sky, air, space and water, using colour and form to move beyond direct observation.
